The Family Giving Tree depends almost entirely on volunteers to perform the tasks necessary to ensure all wishes are fulfilled. If you'd like to help, check out what we have to offer:

General Office Duties

Always available during regular business hours. Help us stamp, seal and organize. Great for students! Please, no drop-ins, check the online Sign up Sheet or email our Volunteer Coordinator to get started!

Back-to-School Warehouse Elves (in August)

Sign up begins in June. Help us receive, sort, quality check and distribute backpacks to low-income children.

Holiday Warehouse Elves (in December)

Help us sort through our database of wishes! Email our Agency Coordinator or call (408) 946-3111 for more information or to schedule a time to come to our office to help.

Warehouse Wish List

Catering for Warehouse Volunteers

Gold Rush Catering has been a long time supporter of the Family Giving Tree Holiday Wish Drive. Each year David and Esther (our Milk and Cookie Elves) set up a mini cafe in the warehouse lobby. Food and drinks are sold each day the warehouse is open, but if you'd like to place a special order for your volunteer group...click here!
