Malcolm Humphrey

Malcolm Humphrey has more than 30 years of experience in the semiconductor industry at National Semiconductor, Texas Instruments, and Micron Technologies. In January of 2023, he retired as Vice President and General Manager at Micron. A Massachusetts native, Malcolm has lived in California for over 25 years and was first introduced to FGT in 2007. Both of his now-grown children have each helped him shop in the executive shopping sprees he has sponsored to benefit FGT’s holiday drives over the years. Malcolm earned his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering at Cornell University and his master’s in business at MIT.

Brenda Swiney, Treasurer

As a solopreneur with over 20 years of financial and operational experience, Brenda provides CFO/COO-level expertise to emerging technology companies, having recently joined one as its full-time CFO. She has B.S. and M.S. degrees from the University of Colorado, Denver. Early in her career, she spent over 8 years in financial consulting, including over 6 years at PwC, and maintains an active CPA license and her CMA, CGMA, and CAMS certifications. Brenda is on the committees and some boards of many organizations: Rotary Club of San Jose and Rotary Int'l District 5170; Financial Executives Int'l; AICPA, IMA, Accounting, and Financial Women’s Alliance; Women in Consulting; and (formerly) the Humane Society of Silicon Valley.

John Mansperger, Secretary

John has been an Angel Elf for over 30 years, starting at FGT in 1995. John is married and has two grown children, all three of whom are also Angel Elves. John has retired after spending over 40 years in the high-tech industry, including AMD, Pure Storage, and Dell/EMC. John is a USAF veteran and the son of a USAF veteran. He is presently serving as president and chairman of Momentum, a local men’s organization. He has lived in California since 1989.

Joanne Peters, Chair

Joanne brings more than 20 years of experience in digital payments and customer loyalty with leadership roles at Washington Mutual Bank, JPMorgan Chase, and Visa. She holds a Master of Arts in Business Communication and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).

After transitioning to the nonprofit sector, Joanne served with the East Palo Alto Academy Foundation, helping expand opportunities for first-generation college students while strengthening fundraising and donor engagement. Her blend of corporate leadership, project management expertise, and commitment to community service enables her to provide strategic guidance and advance the organization's mission and community impact.

Evelyn Loran

Evelyn is a payments and fintech executive with 20+ years of experience leading platform strategy, digital transformation, and operational execution across global networks. She began her career at Bank of America, modernizing merchant services and leading national sales teams to deliver more than 140% year-over-year regional growth.

At Visa Inc., Evelyn has built a reputation for delivering results at the intersection of strategy, technology, and customer experience, leading cross-functional teams spanning product management, business operations, analytics, and global standards to secure the movement of billions of transactions. Her work supports Apple and Android payment platforms, integrates secure authentication, and reduces friction in product release rollouts.

Evelyn brings deep governance experience across product risk and innovation, regulatory compliance, and scalable operations. She lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her partner and his 2 children.

David Proulx

David is a senior software engineer with over four decades of experience. He has a BS in Computer Science and has worked at Sun Microsystems and several smaller companies, both as a project lead and, more commonly, as an individual contributor. David has a passion for continuous learning and improvement in software development, and always likes a new challenge.

David also enjoys roller hockey, bicycling, and giving back to the community through meal preparation for Julian Street Inn Homeless Shelter and painting and repairing homes with Rebuilding Together Silicon Valley.

Lee Du

Lee is a cybersecurity, AI governance, and GRC leader with 15+ years advising Fortune 500 clients in technology and financial services. A SoCal native, he's committed to giving back to his community. Lee has volunteered with Heart of LA (HOLA), supporting education and opportunity for underserved youth and with the Legal Aid Society of Orange County helping low-income individuals and seniors gain access to justice. Both experiences closely align with FGT's mission of connecting those in need with educational support and opportunity. 

Kate Corpus

Kate brings more than 30 years of experience in marketing and marketing operations in the pharmaceutical and fintech industries, with leadership roles at Genentech, Gilead, Visa, AbbVie, and BeiGene. A California resident since 2002, Kate is married with two children, and much of her commitment to volunteer work has been with the PTA and education foundations at her children’s public schools in San Mateo County. In addition to serving on the Family Giving Tree board since 2025, Kate currently volunteers at FGT and at Jasper Ridge Farm, which provides special experiences for children and individuals in need of mental health and emotional support.

Suhasini Kolluri

Suhasini Kolluri is a seasoned software engineering leader with over two decades of experience in the technology industry. She holds a BS in Electronics & Communications Engineering and has successfully led engineering teams at prominent Silicon Valley companies, including Adobe, Intuit, and Blue Shield of California. A proud California resident for over 17 years, Suhasini is deeply passionate about children, education, and giving back to the community. She has been an active volunteer with the Family Giving Tree (FGT) for over seven years and joined the board in 2025.

Joelle Hurlston

Joelle has worked as a Hazardous Materials Inspector/Consultant to municipalities for thirty years, stemming from her previous role as a Captain in the Milpitas Fire Department. Joelle serves on the nonprofit Santa Clara County Fire Safe Council Board and is a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for foster youth. She and her husband reside in the South Bay and, through their family foundation, support local organizations that meet community needs, including Family Giving Tree.
