What is Peer to Peer fundraising?
Peer-to-peer is a form of fundraising in which you, as an individual, host personal campaigns to collect donations from friends, family members, and colleagues on behalf of a nonprofit organization. These campaigns can raise money through activities like marathon training or events like birthdays, anniversaries, or reunions. Take a look at a sample fundraising page here.
Why would I want to start a peer-to-peer fundraiser for FGT?
It allows you to take your donation further and incorporate something you would already be doing, like celebrating a birthday or training for a run and adding something that uplifts the community. You can share information about a cause you care deeply about, have a larger impact through collective giving, and celebrate something in a meaningful way.
Is it difficult to start one?
Not at all. Simply visit our Toolkit Hub to see instructions for setting up an individual or team page or joining an existing group. We also have other helpful resources, such as email templates, logos, and photos. If you have any questions about peer-to-peer fundraising or if you would be interested in starting one, don't hesitate to contact Amelia Capsuto, Individual Giving Officer, at email@example.com.
